SERVICES

Shelby has worked across various community settings to support the mental health needs of children, teens, adults, and post-secondary students. She offers psychotherapy services both in-person and virtually.

APPROACH

Shelby takes an integrative approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to best support each client’s unique needs and goals, including:

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Narrative Therapy
• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Therapy with Shelby is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centred, and strength-based care. She brings a grounded and compassionate presence to each session, helping each client feel seen and heard. Shelby offers a collaborative space to slow down, make sense of lived experiences, ease life’s stressors, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. She also views therapy as a space to build resilience, help clients better understand themselves, clarify values, and strengthen connection to self-care, even when life feels steady.

Her approach prioritizes building safety, trust, and a strong therapeutic relationship with clients.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Shelby is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the University of Western Ontario.

Shelby has experience working with individuals facing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, emotional overwhelm, peer relationships, career uncertainty, and major life transitions. She has a particular interest in working with students navigating academic pressure, performance expectations, time management challenges, and procrastination. Her work has also focused on supporting neurodiverse learners and helping students feel empowered to reach their academic and personal goals.
