She is working towards registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).

As a Clinical Associate, Kosala’s interests and experience are in providing treatment for ADHD, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, and grief. She has extensive experience working with individuals affected by work place injuries (WSIB), especially first responders, and those impacted by adverse childhood experiences. She offers cognitive behavioural treatment for ADHD as well as supportive therapy to help individuals cope with a variety of day-to-day issues, with a focus on safety, regulation, and connection.

In addition, she has experience providing psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments to adults to determine ADHD, learning problems, and comorbid diagnoses including but not limited to mood and anxiety, trauma and stressor-related, substance-related, and personality disorders. She has worked with at-risk adolescents at a non-profit organization, providing therapeutic foster care and addressing issues such as childhood abuse, self-harm, suicidality, and substance abuse.

Kosala’s clinical practice is focused on providing treatment from a trauma informed and culturally sensitive perspective. She works compassionately and collaboratively with her clients to help them move toward positive change. She ensures that her clients feels heard, understood, and valued. She strives to create a safe and non-judgemental space that facilitates self-discovery and growth for her clients. Kosala utilizes an integrative approach, tailored to the unique needs of the individual client, drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Mindfulness.

Kosala enjoys spending time in nature, travelling, and has an avid interest in physical activities, including yoga and strength training. She values these activities for herself and others to ensure well-being.
