SERVICES

Christal works with children, adolescents, and adults, offering both therapy and assessment services. She has experience in a variety of school board and community practice settings across the GTA, supporting individuals and families with diverse mental health needs.

APPROACH

Christal grounds her work in a person-centred, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming perspective. She values empathy, collaboration, and trust as the foundation of effective therapy. To meet the unique needs of each client, she integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns to support healthier behaviours and emotional well-being.
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Building skills for emotion regulation, relationship effectiveness, and crisis management.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Fostering psychological flexibility by embracing what is outside of one’s control while committing to meaningful action.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Strengthening attachment and deepening relational bonds.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): Leveraging client strengths and resources to create practical solutions for present challenges.

Christal strives to provide a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood, valued, and empowered to create meaningful change.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Christal holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University and a Master of Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School (2019). She is nearing completion of her Doctoral studies at the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).

She is a registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario and the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.

Christal has extensive experience conducting assessments and providing therapy for individuals with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, self-regulation challenges, relationship issues, and life transitions. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals with high-masking and female-presenting Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as ADHD, recognizing the unique ways these experiences can shape identity, coping, and wellbeing. Her professional work emphasizes evidence-based treatment approaches while tailoring interventions to each client’s unique needs and goals.

As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent practitioner, Christal brings lived experience and deep compassion to her work. She is dedicated to empowering clients as they navigate life pre- or post-diagnosis, fostering resilience, hope, and growth at every stage of the therapeutic process.
