APPROACH

Dr. Lo primarily grounds her work in the richness of the Psychodynamic perspective. To fully appreciate the complexity of an individual’s mind and experiences, her work is inclusively informed by other modalities, such as Humanistic, Family Systems, Emotion Focused and Cognitive-Behavioural therapeutic approaches. She believes it is the continuous integration of theoretical curiosity, empirical research, and direct collaboration with patient that gives rise to a meaningful and useful therapy process and outcome. When working with children, working with the parents and families is often an integral part of the therapeutic process.

In her various professional role as psychologist, she has worked on many inter-disciplinary teams (e.g., Psychiatry, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, Education) and provided clinical supervision to allied mental health professionals.
